Managing of all drilling contractor activities including budget planning and subcontractors management. Responsible for 47 drilling crews.

Responsible person for the drilling operation on the Trebsa and Titova oilfield. Analyze and design drilling plans according to data and rate of production. Analyze, design and monitor engineering well sites and prepare reports. Follow budgeting guidelines and bring about necessary changes to curb costs. Coordinate with material suppliers and contractors. Conform to government guidelines in following drilling procedures. Assist and supervise drilling team and production personnel to execute well designs and drilling in a cost-effective way. Coordinate with specialists to assess site viability and supervise drilling work. Train engineers, lead contractors and solve engineering problems arising during drilling. Keep informed about latest engineering techniques and software. Prepare and summarize progress reports for management and client staff. Track and guide work and performance of engineers and peer engineering groups. Manage and assess staff progress, and recommend newer methods through researching markets and government guidelines. Coordinate with geologists and other professional during designing and calculate torque and hydraulic data accurately. Ensure accuracy and completion of reports before submission to petroleum department. Prepare resources as per requirements, support drilling personnel and recommend optimization technologies

Main responsibility is the implementation of drilling, workover and completion operations activities on a drilling rig on the giant oilfield West Qurna-2. The major tasks include planning, organization, coordination and management of all parties involved in these activities, i.e. drilling and petroleum engineers, geologists, contractors and auxiliary personnel. Responsible for monitoring progress of the operations and the timely achievement of the objectives set; prepare reports on that and other vital issues, usually on a daily basis, to a Drilling Superintendent. Responsible for ensuring cost optimization and safety of the personnel and property on the rig, as well as for controlling the environmental impact of the operations and providing reports and maintaining documentation on all of the above. Decide whether to abandon the rig or suspend all the operations in case of adverse weather conditions.

Management of general department issues. Interaction with third-party contractors for rigup, cuttings recycling, rent of fishing equipment, water well drilling etc. Approving scopes of work performed by TPC. Following up on main activity contracts, approving scopes of work performed with customers related with drilling operations. Participation in court hearings on disputed issues related to the main activity of the company as a technical representative. Bid review, preparing tender bid documentation from drilling contractor side. Creating, checking and agreed with other departments annual and monthly rigup and drilling schedules based on planned scope of drilling, availability and quality of drilling rigs and crews. Drawing up and reviewing procedures and regulations for drilling operations. Calculate requirements and create annual and monthly requests for drill pipe, drill line, subs, fishing tools and other equipment for drilling operation. On-site participation in elimination of severe accidents while drilling and create a game plans to recover it. Drawing up presentations on the main operations and performance of the company. Drawing up and approval with governmental supervision department of BOP and wellhead connection layouts (mandatory document as per Russian regulations). Was involved in reviewing and improve design of new drilling rigs which has been ordered from manufactory and participate to acceptance audit in drilling rig construction manufactory in China before shipping it to Russia. Every year perform duties of chief engineer of drilling company which had 38 drilling crews when he had an annual leave. Was involved in developing and implementing of aluminum drill pipes for drilling horizontal well with long horizontal sections up to 1000m.

Hands-on supervision of running and cementing casing and liner on drilling site. Participate in improving cement slurry properties, performing different kind of tests and implement good results into real cementing operation. Used to work with different kind of cement slurry with density from 1.25sg to 2.05sg. Preparation of casing/liner running and cementing action plans. Hands-on casing and liner cement jobs as a supervisor. Creating annual and monthly requests for cement, casing, float equipment, packers, liner hangers etc. based on upcoming scope of work. Prepare different kind of reports related to running and cementing casing/liner with analysis and conclusion to improve performance and quality of first completion in next wells. Drawing up cementing-related documents for the well file.

Assist drillers with all drilling processes. Mix and test drilling fluids, chemicals and grout. Assist with strap the casing. Assist with well development and pumping tests. Operate equipment such as pumps for air, water and mud. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs. Clean and maintain equipment, as well as drill and camp sites. Help obtain high-quality drilling core samples.
